There is no golden rule but I'd say at least once a week. Less than this is probably too infrequent.
Washing your hair is important because:
If wet hair is so great why NOT wash or co-wash daily?
That said, two or three times is plenty even if you go to the gym daily. Some people co-wash daily, however, on my 4B/4C hair which takes me about 2.5 hours to detangle, condition and moisturise, daily simply wouldn't work. You are the master of your hair so start of with a weekly wash and adjust that if you think it's not enough. I do not advise washing your hair every day... by washing the hair daily you strip the hair of its natural oils causing the hair to be dry brittle and unhealthy

If not everyday, then what do you advise in the amount that Black hair should be washed?

i shampoo my hair twice or once a week and co wash every day my hair is not as drying when co wash everyday i have notice that my hair get less oily this way but i can't go one day without wash it with conditioner since my hair get dry easy so ya I find that shampooing twice a month and otherwise co-washing twice a week is plenty. Daily is way too inefficient to sustain unless you have a short TWA. I find products offer enough moisture in between washes and the buildup forces me to keep up on washes in order for styles to work. Comments are closed.
