definitely braids,, in that you will spend less time doing your hair and more time on your pregnancy and they also look super good on you

Brenda

Afro! It will remain a classic over time.

Braids can have the same effect but it is totally dependent on the style.

afro!

I braided n took the braids out a week after I had my daughter it was easier for me.

Camisha
3/10/2014 12:20:52 am

The afro is so natural and it really show you true self. It brings out your inner beauty don't get me wrong braids are nice but you rocking that afro.

Jenn
3/10/2014 12:21:04 am

I actually like the idea of braids bc they are not timeless. I love looking at hairstyles from years ago. Your kids and grandkids and so on will be able to see what was fashionable before their time.

Marcie
3/10/2014 12:21:23 am

Afro. I love it!

chrystal
3/10/2014 12:25:03 am

I think braids would be easier to maintain do to the fact that a lot of times being pregnant we tend to be tired and don't feel like dealing with our hair that often especially if we have other children to attend to as well as working. ..an afro would be nice but you will have to get up every morning and make sure that it's in tact ..so braids for me

Rose

I think they equally look nice on you. However I think you should go with the afro hair. Some might argue that braids are low maintenance especially for expecting mother. The afro hair is very versatile and natural. Your hair is healthy and has enough length, you can achieve the same style as the braids. Remember pregnant women goes through a lot of changes. I would stick to natural so you can keep track of how your hair is responding to you been pregnant as well as after the birth of the baby.

braids all the way, no need to be doing your hair if you have to

I love the afro, but your braids are gorgeous. You can also keep them until the baby comes, which will be easier for you as you grow more tired. I've received your emails for over a year, but have never responded. I wish you and Harry all the joy your hearts can contain, and more!

oyin
3/10/2014 03:01:58 am

Braids sure suits u.

Dede
3/10/2014 03:28:56 am

i Prefer the braids. But they don't have to be cornrows. Afro's come and go. Seasons change but with the braids they are always in style. Thats my opinion.

Bose
3/10/2014 03:45:11 am

braids.

Ms Chileya
3/10/2014 03:45:16 am

I'm for the idea of a halo braid with your hair. Would make U look kinda angelic with the baby bump 😊

Salome
3/10/2014 03:51:57 am

Definitely afro for the photo-shoot then braids after because hair care will be the least of your worries towards the birth, so you wont have to worry about styling your hair.

Tiffanie
3/10/2014 04:10:11 am

I say both, if you can do that

Barbara Creese

Hi Heather,

My twin sister and I were chatting about it... Recently we've been looking at photos of our parents (when we were babies) and they have afros. That was about 20 years ago and they look so so cool (more cool than we'd ever imagined!!)... Go with the FRO :)

Nelo
3/10/2014 06:11:40 am

i love the afro on you and it would fit with your bump :)

emanuela
3/10/2014 06:12:24 am

Bella

Afro.....it's bold, powerful, ethically distinct .....says you love you...

Sandra

Braids are less time consuming.

Tiffany W.
3/10/2014 01:26:04 pm

Definitely the Fro!

Merlenne T.
3/10/2014 03:43:14 pm

Im torn as well, my husband told me a to rock my fro (which is what I mostly rock anyways), and I was thinking something new like flowing sew-in tresses or Janet Jackson braids ... help me!

Daisy link
3/10/2014 04:20:26 pm

You look beautiful in both and I'm a bit torn. However, I always regret the big-deal pictures I take without my 'fro, so I say go for the AFRO!!

Joy
3/10/2014 08:45:52 pm

Heather, i hope you'll rock an Afro for your photoshoot. Simply because in 20yrs time, we still need to remember our natural hair and how awesome it is and how it just grows towards the sun. Sure, braids are beautiful but your afro will remind anyone who thinks natural is " passe" that it's forever! All the best

ogechi
3/10/2014 10:03:43 pm

Afro in timeless , though i prefer your looks on braids

sheena hodge
3/10/2014 11:34:39 pm

Afro. Because braids take a while. And depending upon how far along you are in your pregnancy, you're not going to want to sit in a chair for too long. Too uncomfortable. Afro is less time consuming.

Althea
4/10/2014 04:16:41 am

Afro all the way. It's funky, fresh, fun and fabulous!!😎

margie
4/10/2014 06:37:27 am

do a twist out and before taking the pics, take down and rock the afro

Gina
4/10/2014 01:04:18 pm

This is a special occasion that requires a special hair style.

For a photo shoot I think the Afro may be subject to messing up by not staying in place. You may become distracted with wondering if your hair looks alright.

Therefore, you might consider a combination of braids with an Afro puff? Your hair should be styled in a way that will allow you to feel confident that any shot that is taken will look great.

Just remember, your inner beauty will accentuate any hair style you choose!

Aubrey
4/10/2014 01:24:52 pm

I vote braids! They both look lovely and of course the afro will always be classic but those braids are EVERYTHING. You will look like a pregnant queen. Supremely regal, womanly and beautiful. My vote.

Yetta
5/10/2014 02:37:25 am

Braids. I get the sense of timeless serenity and a air of being regal!

hillz
5/10/2014 04:35:15 pm

Afro - Timeless.

Naomi Hyacintha
5/10/2014 07:19:30 pm

I love both but i vote for the AFRO!! :) Timeless hairstyle...

Stephanie
6/10/2014 03:21:36 am

I think that you should sort of intertwine them both, with a braid style in the front and a fro in the back. I think that will look great!

Jazmine
6/10/2014 11:32:01 am

I love how full your afro is and I'm sure your baby will too. In some years, you'll be able to look back and see how far you've come. I vote the afro, There are plenty of ways you can dress it up and still feel comfortable. Good luck and have a blast.

Louise
6/10/2014 04:43:10 pm

I vote braids, they never fail!

Awa link
6/10/2014 09:24:14 pm

Heather dear, the afro is timeless and will definitely look great in your upcoming shoot. In order for it not to look too boring in the different stages of your shoot, you can style with different accessories (bows, scarfs, hairbands, flower crowns, etc) and sure you'll still look gorgeous come the next 30 years. All the very best!

lolade
6/10/2014 10:45:46 pm

Afro and yes accessorise with scarves, bows, flowers etc. Good-luck!
Do we get to see your pics after the shoot?

Yep, all pictures will be in the FREE Queen of Kinks Annual Magazine that you can download next month on iPhone or Android.
