Vitamin E (Oil) Grows Awesome Natural Hair

13/5/2013

Picture
Vitamin E helps to grow hair! The exact mechanism of how it does this is not known but it nonetheless has been shown to:
 • Improve hair growth
 • Prevent hair loss
 • Prevent split ends
 • Help to heal heat-damaged hair

Picture
How might vitamin E improve hair growth?
Vitamin E is heavily involved in the growth and development of capillaries (arteries). An extensive network of capillaries delivers nutrients to the scalp and it is this that promotes hair growth.

How can you use vitamin E:

 1. If you take a multivitamin check that vitamin E is one of the key vitamins.
 2. Consume more vitamin E through your diet - this is better than taking a multivitamin.
 3. Add a little vitamin E oil to your hair products; vitamin E oil is a common ingredient in my DIY homemade hair recipes.

Which foods are rich in vitamin E?

 • Dark Leafy Greens
 • Liver
 • Eggs
 • Nuts
 • Seafood
 • Legumes, e.g. beans
 • Carrots
 • Cabbage
You'll notice that these are also the same foods that are rich in iron!

Is vitamin E good for more than just hair?
Certainly. It's actually best known to be great for the heart and is also good for skin.

What is the recommended daily allowance of vitamin E?
400 IU (International Units)

Can vitamin E be hazardous to health?
Yes, too much of anything is bad. Over 1,000 IU/day can be toxic and over 10,000 IU has been shown to cause hair loss!

Wow I never used Vitamin orally, but I have used the capsule as a oil regimen ( by breaking it open, and use it around my edges ).

Unfortunately, I was unaware of the hair loss effect caused by using too much vitamin e oil on your scalp. I apparently did, and 98% of my hair fell out. How do i grow it back?

Saleeta,
That's unfortunately you had a bad experience with vitamin E. I used it but not for a long period of time! I'm currently using a mixture of essential oils, and it appear to be helping me. I wish you the best on finding a hair remedy and staple to get your glory back. Keep me inform!!! Best wishes!!!

Hey Saleeta, You can try to use sesame oil and honey, apply it all over your scalp then do a 3 minute scalp massage then do the greenhouse effect for about an hour and wash your hair normally.

vitamin E contains rich anti oxidants and these can help hair and scalp to promote hair growth. These antioxidants increases the blood circulations to the scalp and that makes hair to grow faster.

Malik,
You can try deep treatments e.g. mayonnaise, yogurt or apple cider vinegar. Those are only a few, but you can always go on YouTube. I hope this helps. And I wish you the best.

Hi Niella,
How much of each oil did you measure for yourself?
I've also just bought all three oils as i've heard wonderful success stories of all the oils combined together.
(castor oil, olive oil and vitamin e)

Hi, nice advices! I use Pro Naturals Argan Oil leave in on my curly, frizzy hair and it totally tames the frizz and leaves my curls shiny and soft.

The middle of my hair won't grow... Idk if i get that from my grandmother or if it's stress. I've been going natural and I don't seem to be getting anywhere lengthwis..

I have 4c hair and I use vitamin E on my edges. I makes it really shiny, healthy looking. When I twist my edges/baby hair beside my ears with vitamin E and a gel, my hair turns out super coily & defined. No more kinky frizz.

My daughter is mixed (filipino & black) when she was born she suffered skin rashes so bad. Can't use any hair products it's gives her skin bumps. So someone told me that use vitamin e oil & use it daily. I use it for her skin & hair. She's allergic to Johnsons & Johnsons too. When she turns 2 she start lossIng her hair. Pretty darn curly hair starts falling. Took her to the dermatologist & diagnosed alopecia areata. Because I read some of this messages. It might be from using that vitamin e oil. Her scalp is patchy white non itchy but I'm sad cause sooner she will start going to pre K then kids will start bullying her. Please help me enlighten about using vit e. Thanks

Try using natural products in her hair, such as
Unfiltered (with the mother) apple cider vinegar as rinse before shampooing
Coconut milk as a conditioner
Mayonnaise or mashed avocado as a deep conditioner
Boil potatoes and rosemary in a pot...use the water as a daily rinse for her hair
Moisturize her scalp with either
Olive oil, castor oil, grapes ed oil, jojoba oil, vitamin e oil, argan oil, sunflower oil or coconut oil. You can take 2 or 3 of these oils and mix them

All these remedies are proven in hair growth for alopecia areata. Being that alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder, give your daughter some aloe Vera juice to help her immune system. You can get sugar free flavors to sweeten it for her tasting.

This will help, I too have it and these things help me

Hi whats your thoughts on using Vitamin E pills vs Vitamin E oil? Should you still take pills every other day also? Thanks for your reply.

Dear All
i would like to share my personal experience from you. i was suffering bad hair loss and once i found a bald spot in the center. i was shocked and started searching the solutions what can i do to cope this situation BUT nothing works. So what i did i did cupping for that bald spot three times and after a week my hairs was grown there. now its been more than three months and my bald spot is already filled with hairs and these are thicker than my other hairs. So i will recommend do not spend money on anything just do the cupping. But one thing that cupping for male is really perfect because they can fully shave their head and then they can do cupping for the whole head but for the female its hard..i really want to do for all my head but cannot shave my full head. Thanks
