1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Kelsey Janae and I am from Atlanta by way of the Bronx, New York 2. What is your hair type? I don’t really like to hair type but if I had to guess, I would say 3c to 4a
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I went natural in 2010 and I was inspired by Brittany “Bre” Scullark from ANTM. I was obsessed with her hair and how she wore her big beautiful curls so proudly, and I wanted to do the same. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? In the beginning the most challenging thing for me was finding the right products and coming up with a regimen that worked for me. 5. What is your weekly regimen? My weekly regimen consists of deep conditioning once a week and co- washing every three days. I normally rock a wash n go. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? I keep my hair regimen really simple. In the morning I take my hair out of a pineapple (high loose ponytail) and I refresh my curls using my hand held steamer. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? My nightly routine is simply putting my hair in a pineapple and I always sleep on a satin pillowcase 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? I use heat on my hair but not often.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
I rarely braid my hair. I think in the past 5 years I've had braids twice. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? Neither! I use my fingers. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? My hair is normally loose 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? I have had a hair tragedy… a couple lol. I've colored my hair 5 billion times and then got heat damage, so I ended up big chopping for the second time in 2014. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Deep conditioning! It is key for healthy hair. 14. Where can we find you online? (blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc).

1. What's your name and where are you from?
Sonique Saturday. I was born in Culver City, CA and raised in Atlanta, GA. I now live back in Los Angeles, CA. 2. What is your hair type? Type 4
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I got my first perm at the age of 18 and my hair stayed healthy but every time I had new growth I always ended up liking that texture more than my permed hair texture so I grew my perm out to go natural. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? Shrinkage 5. What is your weekly regimen? I honestly had been doing a twist out for a while and I do that maybe once every two weeks 6. What is your daily morning regimen? I wake up and rubs both of my hands all over my head like a little boy haha. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? I usually like to clip the hair behind my ears to the top of my head since I sleep on the sides of my face 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Yes, I use heat when I curl wand and straighten my hair... other than that no.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
No I don't 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? My hair likes to eat combs so i use brushes 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? I'm a free child so it's usually loose 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? Of course! I usually end those problems with soaking my hair head in water and wearing a high bun. If I can't do that I'll tie all of my hair in a scarf piled up on top of my forehead 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? leave it alone, my hair doesn't like to be pulled into a complete different style everyday. the less i bother it, the thicker and long it becomes. 14. 1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Shannon. I am from Jamaica, but I reside in Georgia, USA. 2. What is your hair type? The front of my hair is 4a, and the back is 4b/4c. Overall my hair is type H (Healthy).
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I don't quite remember when I decided to go natural because I was very young (maybe 10) but I decided to start my healthy hair journey in Summer 2011 because my hair was extremely heat damaged. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The most challenging thing about going natural and my healthy hair journey as a whole was learning to deal with my hair as it grew and the textures changed. 5. What is your weekly regimen? If my hair is out (in a "wash & go") I wash weekly and moisturize at least 3-4 times a week. If it's in a protective style I moisturize weekly or as needed. Usually cleanse every other week, but if my hair is dry or itchy I'll wash. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? Each morning I remove my satin bonnet, shake and fluff, then style my hair. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? Each night I assess my hair for dryness, itchy scalp, etc. and tend to it as needed and then put on a satin bonnet. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Practically not at all. If I'm in a rush I might sit under a hooded dryer while deep conditioning. I did have a sew-in with leave out at the top in January 2015, but I haven't flat-ironed my entire head since March 2014.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
I do my signature twists (big or medium) anywhere from 2 to 4 times a year. The video to my process is below:
s10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush?
Wide-tooth comb, but I'm considering trying out the Denman brush. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? I would say about 50/50. Mostly protective styles during the summer and loose mostly during the fall. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? When I was younger my aunt cut almost 1/3 of my length (thinking I had extensions in my braids) and I suffered extreme heat damage during my early teens. For the length, I couldn't really do much, but for the heat damage I started to moisturize, deep condition and use protein treatments as well as protective styles more. I stopped using heat as much and eventually not at all. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Moisturize and use protective styles. Do everything in moderation. 14. 1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Millicent Swift and I’m located outside Atlanta, Georgia, USA. 2. What is your hair type? Although I don’t usually hair type, I believe that I have a combination of 4a, 4b, & 4c. Like most naturals, my sides, crown and the top front section of my hair are all different textures.
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I actually went natural for several reasons. I received my last relaxer on December 4, 2010 and I did my Big Chop on June 1, 2011. Around that time, I didn’t know much about what it meant to “go natural”. When I got old enough to start styling my own hair (high school-college) I started to use a lot of heat on my hair daily to achieve a certain look. Using so much heat of course led to extreme breakage and shedding to where my hair (what started between mid-back & waist length) eventually fell above my shoulders by 2010. In the effort to grow my hair back, I knew that I had to do something different. Also in the summer of 2010 I tried using a perm rod set on my relaxed hair and once fluffed out, I fell in love with how big the hair was. Curiosity to what my hair would look like if it wasn’t relaxed came to the forefront of my mind and stayed with me. I wanted to know my true texture and to why my mother was so quick to remind me to retouch my new growth once it started to grow in. I wanted a fresh start and a new me. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The most challenging thing for me was dealing with some of the negative backlash that I received from those closest to me once I did it. I did not tell several people about my plans to go natural, I just did it. People were used to seeing me with long relaxed hair for nearly 20 plus years of my life and in a blink of an eye, it was all gone. Although I had convinced myself already that chopping my hair off was the right thing, I felt as though it was my responsibility also to show others alike that natural hair could be beautiful. So I researched and literally studied YouTube tutorials for hours at a time to learn how to care for my natural hair and here we are. 5. What is your weekly regimen? Recently I’ve been doing the L.O.C. Method (liquid, oil, cream). So Monday-Friday my hair is usually in about 12 plaits/braids and then Saturday-Sunday I usually wear the hair out free, making Sunday my wash day to do it all over again. When I’m not doing the LOC Method, I’m usually rocking a protective style of some sort to where I won’t have to touch it for several days. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? Once I take my bonnet off, I usually touch up my edges with some hair gel and maybe spritz some water on top. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? I ALWAYS wear a satin bonnet to bed, so that’s about it. Regardless of the style I’m wearing, a bonnet usually goes over it. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? I usually never use heat until recently last month in January when I decided to get my hair professionally flat ironed for the first time in 3-1/2 years. I usually wear my hair in protective styles 80% of the time, so I wanted to do something different for my birthday this year for 2015.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
If you’re referring to braids using extensions, no, I haven’t tried that yet. Flat twists/2 strand twists/plaits, YES, all the time. Mini twists (at least 5 times a year), mini braids (once last year). I wear a lot of up dos, so I’ll combine a lot of the braiding techniques to achieve whatever look I’m going for at the time. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? Wide-tooth comb 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? In a protective-do 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? Luckily, I have not since I’ve been natural. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Like the famous architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe said to describe minimalist design, “Less is more”. That quote can also be applied to the amount of products that one may use in/on their hair. The fewer products, the better and once you find a product that works, try to stick with it. Your hair and wallet will appreciate you more for it. 14. Where can we find you online? 1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Alicia and I am from Southern Georgia. 2. What is your hair type? My hair type is predominantly 4b. I have always been confused as to what exactly my hair type is, but I believe it is mostly 4b with a little 4a.
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I transitioned for almost 11 months before I big chopped on December 8, 2012. So I have been natural for 2 years now. Yay! Whew. Because my hair wasn't healthy like it used to be when I was younger and because of my research on the chemicals (relaxers) I was putting on my hair, I thought that going down the natural route would be good for me. I remember when I first moved to Georgia and how the girls in my class were pretty much jealous of how thick and long my hair was. On one horrible evening, my cousin put a relaxer in my hair. I think it was a bad relaxer because my hair immediately started to break off really bad. That night, we went to the salon and the beautician cut off a lot of my hair in all types of layers. I remember going back to school and everyone wondering what happened to my hair and why I cut it. Anyway, it seemed that from that point forward, my hair was never the same. I also was curious to see what my natural hair looked like. My cousin had gone natural and encouraged me to do the same. I just wanted to embrace the hair that I was born with. There's so much versatility that comes with natural hair. I can wear it curly or straight (without putting harmful chemicals on my hair). 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The mostly challenging thing about going natural would be transitioning. Dealing with two different hair textures was tough! But there is a solution: protective hairstyling. :) 5. What is your weekly regimen? I recently created a weekly/monthly hair regimen. Monday-Wednesday I oil my scalp with JBCO and moisturize my hair (focusing on my ends). On Thursday I co-wash and oil my scalp and of course moisturizing the hair comes after washing. And again, on Fridays and Saturdays I oil my scalp and moisturize my hair. Sundays consist of deep conditioning my hair and oiling my scalp. Also, every other week (on Thursday) I shampoo and use a hair mask. Sometimes I switch up the days but I've been pretty consistent since creating this regimen. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? I don't really have a morning regimen. Sometimes I keep twists pinned up in my hair, so the most that I would do is spray a leave-in conditioner on my hair; or in the case that I want to take out my twists/braids, I will apply oil on my fingers and hair to give my hair a nice shine. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? Referring back to my weekly regimen, I oil my scalp and moisturize my hair (ends) at night , as well as massage my scalp a bit. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Rarely. I haven't directly blow-dried or flat-ironed my hair in a year. I do plan to use heat on my hair soon.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
Well, unfortunately I do not know how to cornrow, but I can do plaits. I don't do that too often. I would say maybe 7 times a year. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? I prefer the Denman brush, but I use both. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? My hair is normally loose, but I need to do more protective-dos. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? I've had a couple. On question three I mentioned my relaxed hair tragedy. As far as natural hair, I encountered some heat damage. I did a protein treatment and little by little trimmed the heat damaged ends. There's still a tiny bit left, but I'll cut that off when I do my next trim. I'm not sure if this would be considered a tragedy but like most naturals I struggle with single-strand knots and split ends, and it's really hindering my hair journey and goals. I recently discovered a small bald spot around my crown area. That was pretty disturbing. That is what prompted me to oil my scalp daily in my hair regimen. I also plan to do a protein treatment and put in some Senegalese twists or some braids to give my hair a break. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Keep the moisture in. I look at it like this: water is one of the number one moisturizers. We use it on our skin, hair, and it revitalizes our organs when we drink it. Moisture allows things to thrive. A plant will not thrive if it does not receive water (moisture). Therefore, your hair will not thrive if it does not receive an adequate and consistent amount of moisture. 14. 1. What's your name and where are you from?
Troy - Atlanta, GA 2. What is your hair type? 4A?
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
19 years ago. I was horrible at keeping up with perms so I stopped all together. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The in between stage when I went a year without a perm. I kept it in a ponytail for months. I solved the problem by chopping it all off to a twa. 5. What is your weekly regimen? None. My locs are pretty low maintenance. I spritz with a mixture of oil and water when I remember. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? I don’t have one. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? I don’t have one. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? I use a bonnet hair dryer occasionally. When my hair was longer it was necessary or my hair would take a full day to dry.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
No. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? Neither. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? Loose. When I wash my hair, I let it dry in bantu knots. It usually stays curled until the next wash. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? I’m currently experiencing a bit of a hair tragedy as my purple highlights are fading leaving me with lots of blondish and white pieces because the loc is bleached. As you can read, I’m pretty low maintenance with hair so it’s a struggle to keep up on my color. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Less is more. My locs were waist length before I cut them and I attribute that to just letting it grow. Shampoo and conditioner and oil. Very few products used over the years. 14. Where can we find you online? 1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Shaqwania Dixon also known as Naturalista4me. I am from Vidalia Georgia, home of the sweet Vidalia Onions! I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. 2. What is your hair type? I have 4c hair.
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I began transitioning back to natural in 2012 and I did my big chop in July of 2013. I really wasn't planning (at first) to be natural, it just turned into that. My husband and I were expecting our son and I made the decision to not relax my hair for the entire pregnancy. I then made the decision to not relax my hair ever again and so my natural hair journey began along with my journey to truly loving myself as I am. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The most challenging thing was learning how to be comfortable with wearing my natural hair. I love hair and the challenges there of so caring for my hair is not a problem, being able to face those who had an opinion about my natural hair was another story. I have always been the type of person who didn't like to be put on the spot or bring attention to myself but once I returned to natural, I started to get a lot of stares and a few unwanted hurtful opinions. I am completely over that stage now. 5. What is your weekly regimen? I have simplified my regimen a lot. I cowash one to two times a week depending on the hairstyle that I am wearing. I will shampoo if I have a lot of product buildup. I deep condition once a week if my hair really needs it. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? I remove my satin cap and sprits my hair with water and apply a moisturizing cream. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? I massage my scalp and lightly sprits my hair with water and cover with a satin cap. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? I rarely use heat. I once received a blow out followed by flat iron and a split end trimming. I also have sat under a hooded dryer for a twist out and roller set. I am not against heat; I just prefer not to use it.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
I braid my hair down for crochet installments and when wearing a braid out. I do not do it often so I would say one to two times a year. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? Although I have both I rarely use them. I work with my fingers mostly. If I had to choose one to work with I usually use the wide tooth comb. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? My hair is now in a tapered cut so I wear it loose mostly. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? I have to be honest and say that I was the reason for my hair going through a period of excess shedding and breakage. I was going through a stressful time and my hair wasn't responding to well. I did recover from it once I made the decision to overcome that situation and not mellow in it and allow it to control my happiness. When you are stressed it can change your appetite and can also cause health issues. I am now happy because I have made the CHOICE to be and my hair is doing great! 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Take care of yourself and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! 14. Where can we find you online? (blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc).

1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Khristian Devereux and I am from lil ol’ Macon, Georgia 2. What is your hair type? Like many naturals I have a few hair textures throughout but mostly 4b and 4c
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
My last relaxer was January 2, 2012 and I decided to do it as a quest for healthier hair and to grow out my hair. I’d researched how to achieve healthy long relaxed hair but then I decided that ultimately it would be best to just embrace my natural hair and curl pattern. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? Being patient! When I big chopped, that was the shortest my hair had ever been, and I didn’t take shrinkage into account so the length took a little while to get used to. But now I miss short hair of course. 5. What is your weekly regimen? I wash my hair weekly with Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Castile Soap (that stuff is awesome! It is multipurpose- I am all about keeping it simple!) and then I follow up immediately with a 30 minute deep condition. Lately I have been loving TGIN’s deep conditioner and Shea Moisture’s Superfruit Complex deep conditioner. Then Immediately after I moisturize with the KimmayTube Leave-In conditioner recipe. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? In the mornings, I usually take down my braid outs. Unless I have a special event where I want to look extra nice, my hair usually goes In a bun or ponytail a good 85% of the time. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? At night I apply the KimmayTube Leave in and sometimes oil or butter to my ends. Every other night I usually spray a little water on my hair before applying the leave in. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Yes! I’m not afraid of the occasional blowout or even sitting under a dryer to set a hair style.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
I braid my hair nightly into about 8-10 braids but I haven’t had braids installed as a protective style since about the 2nd grade lol. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? I have both actually and If I HAAAAD to choose I’d say wide tooth comb, but honestly, I finger detangle more than anything. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? Protective-do (buns!) 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? Oh goodness yes. When I was relaxed I seem to always be having hair setbacks. I’d recover by switching beauticians or trying biotin or something like that. When I was in the first grade I sawed off my bangs with a nail file too….TRAGIC. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? My biggest tip for maintaining healthy hair is to keep it moisturized! Your hair is like a beautiful flower that needs water! 14. Where can we find you online? (blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc).

1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Paulah and I currently live in Atlanta, GA. 2. What is your hair type? 4a/4b
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I went natural at the end of my freshman year of undergrad. I was inspired by a few of my friends and I really wanted to see if I could grow my hair as long as some of the natural hair ladies I saw on YouTube. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The hardest part about going natural was just accepting my hair and how it looked on me. I was used to straight hair and weaves and at first I just didn’t know if I felt pretty with natural hair. But I got over all of that by looking at natural hair blogs for inspiration and learning how to style my hair. 5. What is your weekly regimen? I wash my hair with a sulfate free shampoo, deep condition, and blow-dry in sections. Then I’ll usually do a twistout or just put it in a low bun for the week. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? Usually I’m taking out twists or styling it into a low bun. I’ve stopped using a whole lot of different products on my hair, so when I put it into a bun I mainly just use water and a little conditioner. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? I’ll use water, oil, and styling cream to twist my hair and then cover it with a satin scarf. Sometimes I do the GreenHouse Method, so I’ll put a little oil (usually Jamaican Black Castor Oil) on each twist and my scalp and cover my hair with a plastic shower cap, then cover it with a satin bonnet. This really helps my hair to grow but the castor oil can be thick and weigh my hair down, so I’ll definitely wear it in a bun the next day. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Yes, I use heat sometimes. I usually blow dry my hair after each wash, but not always if I’m being lazy. Every few months I’ll straighten my hair in order to trim my ends or just to see how much it has grown.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
Yes, I love Senegalese Twists and Marley Twists. I’ll get my hair braided or do it myself probably 2-3 times a year when I want a break. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? Finger detangling! But wide-tooth combs and Denman brushes are both very useful too. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? Now that my hair is longer it’s normally in a protective style just because my hair can get so big that it’s distracting when I’m working or at school, so that’s where the low bun comes in. But on the weekends or whenever I feel like it, I will rock a twist out or flexi rod set. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? Not really, my biggest hair tragedy was being relaxed for so long! I’ve given myself some uneven haircuts as a natural because I never go to the salon, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? Don’t be afraid of water and use protective styles and learn how to finger detangle. Even though I blow-dry my hair, if my ends feel dry, I’ll put some water in my hands and just run it through my hair. Finger detangling isn’t nearly as much work as people make it seem once you get the hang of it – I only use combs and brushes on wash day when my hair is slathered in conditioner. And protective styles, well duh! 14. Where can we find you online? (blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc).

1. What's your name and where are you from?
My name is Essence Roberts and I am from Atlanta, Georgia. 2. What is your hair type? I think I have a mixture of 4A,4B, and 4C. The back of my hair are looser kinky curls, while the front of my hair is a bit tighter, and the middle of my head is the tightest and kinkiest.
3. When did you go natural and what made you do it?
I made the decision to allow my hair to grow naturally the Summer of June 2012. At the beginning of the year 2012 I was a junior in high school I made the decision to bleach my hair blonde and dye my hair red and texturize my hair with no assistance. This was the worst mistake I ever made because my hair was fried, dry, and brittle. I had absolutely no idea what to do with it. So I chopped it all off to a low fade that summer. 4. What was the most challenging thing about going natural? The most challenging at the beginning was sitting wondering whether or not my hair was growing at all. The whole idea of experimenting with hairstyles, products, and what to do next intrigued me, I never looked at that aspect of being natural as challenging. 5. What is your weekly regimen? I love my colored hair. From the beginning when I learned how to properly care for my hair I went all the way honey blonde. My hair takes color so easily. My next big step was the vibrant pink that I currently have. Everyone who chooses to wear their hair naturally if they didn't know it before then they should know now that it is one of the biggest commitments that they will make. Each week on Sunday or Saturday (my free days) I do a pre-poo Saturday night, then sunday morning cleanse my scalp with ACV, then I do a protein treatment (every week without a doubt I never miss this step). I have learned that protein is the most important thing for natural hair, especially bleached blonde or any colored hair. Then I immediately follow with a deep condition. After I wash that out, LOC method and protective style for the week. 6. What is your daily morning regimen? During the summertime I usually cowash my hair every morning and leave with a wash n go. However, it is now getting a bit chilly in the ATL, and I can no longer walk out of the house with a wet head, smh. So, now I take out the protective style from the night before using my whipped shea butter mix that I make, and I separate pieces and fluff my hair out and go. 7. What is your daily night time regimen? At night I always always always sprtiz my hair with water, combine my castor oil and coconut oil together, and add my whipped shea butter to my ends in whatever protective style i choose for that night whether it be bantu knots, three strand twist, flat twist, finger coils, or two strand twist. I pay special attention to my ends. 8. Do you use heat on your hair at all? Once every year I do a length check, I go to my stylist and get my hair blown out and silk pressed. I keep it for one week, then i revert back to my kinky roots.
9. Do you braid your hair? If so, how often do you do so in a year?
No, I do not like any added stress to my hair follicles. I am extremely tender headed. 10. Wide-tooth comb or Denman brush? I do not use any combs because I do not like the constant pulling, snatching, or crunching that comes with combs or brushes. I finger detangle each week and with each styles. 11. Is your hair normally loose or in a protective-do? My hair is normally loose throughout the day, but at night I wear it in a protective do. Sometimes I choose to wear bantu knots out. 12. Have you ever had a hair tragedy? What was it? How did you recover from it? Yes the day right after Thanksgiving 2014, I decided that I wanted my hair a silver/gray color. #FAIL I usually bleach my hair myself, so that was not the problem. I bought a toner (I have never used toner before, but the internet said you need a toner in order to get your hair gray...) My hair turned this goodness awful green color and a gray color. I'm home with all my family, and I'm like, "Mom, I'm about to cut all of my hair off and start over, smh." My mother said, "No honey, just call your stylist and see what she can do." So I did, and I went into her shop that Sunday. She told me the only way to combat what happened is to put a lightener on my hair to make it go back blonde #FAILAGAINNNNN lol As soon as she put the lightener on my head my hair began to turn pink. 13. What's your biggest tip for maintaining healthy or long hair? I only have one, please be consistent. Consistency is key anything that you choose to be committed to. 14. Where can we find you online?
